Immigration

  • 15 years of experience handling all levels and complexities of business law and corporate immigration issues.
  • Before the USCIS, Department of Labor, US Customs/Border Patrol, Consulates:
  • Personally handled thousands of immigration cases including H1s, L1s, O1s, M1s, B/F visas, PERM and pre-perm Labor Certifications, Waiver petitions, exceptional ability individuals, NIV and IV petitions.
  • Filed RFE responses with the USCIS, filed Motions to Reopen and Appeals with the USCIS/AAO, responded to Department of Labor Audits and PERM denials.
  • Handled consular visits and worked with consular officers to respond to 221Gs.
  • Handled overseas employee migrations including obtaining visas for work in Asian countries and inclusion into the Business Executive Program at consulates.
  • In-House Audits:
  • Counseled and conducted in-house audits for I-9 violations, LCA and e-verify obligations and worksite compliance issues.
  • Represented clients in ongoing investigations and audits before the Department of Labor, USCIS, Customs and Border Patrol.
  • Counseled clients and responded to notices pertaining to on-site USCIS visits and inspections.
  • Counseled clients on DUI and criminal convictions and their impact on immigrant and non-immigrant statues. Negotiated with State District Attorney.s office to reduce/minimize damage to immigrant status.
